Rebuild software for fire and water restoration contractors

Bring in the carrier’s scope, let the homeowner make their selections, price the code upgrades, and run the crew from the same job, so every dollar over the allowance has an owner and a number you can show.

The price on each scope line is the product

A fire or water rebuild starts when the carrier sends an “as is” replacement list for the structure. Customer selections, code upgrades, and later supplements all have to answer the same question: who pays the difference, and can we show the number? Buildistor keeps that answer on every line, from the first estimate to the last day on site.

Everything a rebuild job needs, in one place

Project management

One project per loss: address, date of loss, fire or water, claim number, carrier, year built, permit date, and a status that runs from Draft to Complete.

Carrier scope in

Import the carrier’s replacement list or enter the lines by hand. Room, trade, quantity, unit, and carrier price. Every line stays editable.

Quoting

Collect sub quotes by trade against a scope version and see, per trade, the carrier allowance, the sub quote, and the code delta side by side.

Customer selections

Flag the lines the homeowner has to pick, offer three real store options, or let them bring their own link, store, and price. Over the allowance is a clear chargeback.

Code upgrades

Today’s code costs more than the year-built allowance. Price that difference at present-day cost and bill it back to the carrier, never to the homeowner by mistake.

Who pays, on every line

Three buckets kept apart on purpose: carrier allowance, code upgrade, and customer betterment, with a file of the deltas to send back to the carrier.

Job tracking and scheduling

Once the permit is issued, staff the job. Schedule carpenters by the half day, day, or week, and hand tasks to subs by trade or to one named carpenter.

Employee tracking

On-site check-in records the time and the location. Admins see every job; project managers and carpenters see the jobs they are on.

Work done and completed

End-of-day logs of who was on site and what got done, with photos attached to the task or scope line they belong to.

Purchase orders

Materials and sub work tied back to the job and the scope line, so what you buy lines up with what the carrier approved.

Planned

Supplements and draws

Hidden damage becomes a new scope version, never an edit that erases the number the carrier already agreed to. A place to record draws comes with it.

Planned

Homeowner and sub access

The homeowner sees only their selections and upgrade balance. A sub sees only their tasks. Nobody sees another job, sub quotes, or your margin.

How a job moves

  1. Scope in: import the carrier’s “as is” list, or enter it by hand.
  2. Selections: flag the lines the homeowner chooses, and they pick or bring their own.
  3. Quotes and code: sub quotes by trade, plus the code-upgrade difference for the carrier.
  4. Permit issued: assign a project manager, schedule carpenters, and give subs their tasks.
  5. On site: check in with time and location, photograph the work, and log the day.

Who it’s for

Restoration contractors

Construction companies rebuilding after fire or water damage, working against an insurance carrier’s scope.

Estimators

Bring in the scope, flag selections, enter options, price code upgrades, and send the deltas back.

Schedulers and project managers

Staff the job, assign carpenters and subs, and confirm what happened on site each day.

Carpenters and subs

See your tasks, check in on site, upload photos of the work, and log your day.

Homeowners

Pick your finishes, see what’s covered and what’s over the allowance, and nothing you shouldn’t.

Works with Organized Inventory

Contents are a separate job. Photos of what comes out of the house, and the itemized list the homeowner reviews, stay in Organized Inventory. Buildistor handles the structure: the rebuild scope and the crew. Both use the same Slingbuilt sign-in.
